Island Sotheby's agents make state top-100 list

Two of Island Sotheby’s International Realty agents have made Hawaii Business magazine's list of the top 100 real estate agents in the state.

The magazine has been creating the list for more than a decade, which has become the pinnacle of success for Hawaii's real estate agents. This year, Island Sotheby’s Realty agents Courtney Brown and Wendy Peterson were among those honored, as well as several other Sotheby’s International Realty sales associates throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

Brown, who specializes in the resort areas of west and south Maui, closed $21,642,884 in real estate transactions in 2016. Over the years, she’s sold well over $250 million in real estate, represented buyers and sellers of some of the finest resorts, golf courses and oceanfront properties on Maui.

Wendy Rice Peterson, who specializes in the lush Upcountry area, closed $20,351,800 worth of real estate transactions. Peterson is a sixth generation rancher, whose family has lived in the Makawao and Kula areas for generations. While being one Island Sotheby’s International Realty’s most productive agents in 2016, Peterson helped dozens of clients find the homes of their dreams on Maui.

In all, Island Sotheby’s International Realty agents closed over $270 million in real estate transactions in 2016. Statewide, the Hawaii Sotheby's International Realty Affiliates recorded 1.1 billion over the same period. The affiliates are all a part of the Sotheby’s International Realty network, which has about 880 offices in 69 different countries. In total, the Sotheby's agents worldwide reported $95 billion in sales In 2016.
