Honolulu, HI (May 24, 2016) – LIST Sotheby’s International Realty recently recorded a landmark transaction with the highest sale price in Kailua since January 2008. It was also the third highest sale on Oahu in the last five years.*

Listed at $23 million by Judith Whitfield of LIST Sotheby’s International Realty, the 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom 6,452 square foot house sits in a private, gated setting on 1.3 acres with 200 linear feet of white, sandy beach along the famed Kailua coastline. Consistently rated one of the best beaches in America, Kailua Beach is a great getaway less than 30 minutes away from Honolulu.

Features include a poolside cabana, tropical water accents such as tiki torches, fire pit, fountains, state-of-the art security and lighting, spa and outdoor granite tub, walk-in wine cellar and expansive grounds to host large scale events.

The estate is situated a few houses down from where President Barack Obama and his family typically rent their winter vacation home. In fact, President Obama and his wife, Michelle, have visited this particular residence in the past.

This is the second time Judith Whitfield has brokered this extraordinary property. She represented the buyer before and credits it to “being in the right time at the right place.” Judith recalls,

“I answered an incoming call with clients who only wanted to work with a Sotheby’s International Realty agent. Over the last few years, I built a relationship with my clients who eventually became personal friends.”

“The fact that this property sold within a year and a half is amazing. Homes in this price range can stay on the market for several years.”

Judith attributes her success to her extensive marketing background, attention to detail, developing strong, long-term relationships and the ability to seek out discerning clients for her listings, many of which involve complex negotiations.

Principal broker, Myra Brandt, said,

“Our premier brand reputation is recognized around the world and we’re proud to be a part of it. This recent transaction demonstrates the power of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand and its global reach, but most importantly, the commitment of our agents who are focused on delivering unparalleled service.”
