Haupia pumpkin pie transforms the classic dish and transforms it into something that tastes like sitting on a beach, sipping a coconut, while also getting to enjoy pie. How can it get better than that?

The 50th state is the only state in the US that grows its coffee. In a country that is guzzling down more than a third of the world's total supply of coffee, that title is pretty cool in our eyes. With roughly 800 plantations scattered across five islands, some might say, we know a thing or two about a cup of Joe. So, as you drive along the Lahaina coast, venture into the beautiful Haiku rainforests, or lounge on the Kihei shores, don't forget to stop at one of our favorite coffee shops along the way. Whether it's a macchiato produced from Molokai beans or a mocha prepared right here on Maui, every corner of Maui has a coffee shop for everyone.

Although every cafe has its flair, you'll find that almost everyone has a foundation in supporting the

However, here on the valley isle, we have a different way of celebrating the start of the fall season. Though our sunny beach days may be a tad cooler, there's not much of a difference to notice when living on an island. That is until you head upcountry to Kula Country Farm's annual pumpkin patch.

Since 2011, this fourth-generation, family-run farm has invited people to Maui's favorite patch. Located by the field next to Kula's modest roadside kiosk, this infamous attraction is perfect for tourists, local families, and everyone in between.

Just above the white clouds that sit on top of Maui's upcountry skyline lies magnificent Haleakala. This unique location brings stories of ancient and current Hawaiian culture alive, and it serves to preserve the relationship between the ʻāina (native land) and the Hawaiian people. In Hawaiian, Haleakala means "house of the sun," and legend has it that the demigod Maui lassoed the sun as he stood on the volcano's peak, delaying its descent so that his family had more time in the day to grow their crops.

The dormant volcano, one of the most treasured sites on the island, sits at 10,023 feet above sea level and is home to some of the most breathtaking sights. Along its fertile crater are many hikeable pathways that take you on a journey through lush
