Now that 2018 is coming to an end, it's clear that it was a record year for the Island Sotheby's International Realty team.
Right now, two of Island Sotheby’s International Realty’s current listings would break sales records in Hawai'i: a sprawling 10-acre oceanfront estate in Kapalua offered for $49 million and a condominium at Wailea Point offered for $25 million. But those are just two of several highly significant listings, ranging from luxurious condominiums to swaths of historic ranches. We put together a list of our most notable listings as we close out 2018:
9 Bay Drive | $49 million
This breathtaking estate could be the largest sale ever for a single-family home on Maui. Located on a sprawling 10-acre oceanfront property, this once-in-a-lifetime home, which comes with its own small lighthouse, is offered for $49 million. If it sells for that price, it would break Maui’s record sale for a single-family home, which is currently held by a $41.8 million home sold in 2015, according to the Maui Association of Realtors.
National publications such as the Wall Street Journal and Mansion Global have already taken notice of its significance. The estate boasts more than 12,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor living space and over 20,000 square feet of meticulously-landscaped grounds.
4805 Makena Road | $29.98 million
Constructed out of the highest quality materials from across the world, this quiet getaway listed for $29.98 million offers four bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms and 5,065-square-feet of living space in the heart of Makena, an area known for being home to some of the most extraordinary properties in Hawaii. This newly-constructed, fully-furnished home was created with the utmost attention to detail, with interior living spaces that seamlessly blend into expansive covered lanais.
The home is nestled along Palauea Beach, one of the most exclusive beaches on Maui that was once the home of an ancient Hawaiian village. The pristine, white sands now serve as a nesting beach for the critically endangered Honu’ea, also known as the Hawksbill Turtle. Meanwhile, the azure waters beyond are the ultimate playground, where you can snorkel, swim, kayak and paddle-board.
4000 Wailea Alanui Drive | $25 million
With an asking price of $25 million, Wailea Point Unit 102 is the epitome of prestigious vacation living in one of Maui’s most coveted communities. One of Wailea's finest units, it's perfectly situated above Wailea Beach, offering breathtaking ocean vistas that include multiple Hawaiian Islands like Kaho’olawe and Molokini. The three-bedroom condominium boasts 3,850 square feet of exquisitely designed living space with state of the art furnishings. The unit has been extensively remodeled and offers soaring ceilings that span up to 25 feet in height.
White sand beaches and premiere hotels including the Four Seasons Resort, Grand Wailea and Andaz are literally just steps away from this distinguished resort community.
7505 Makena Road | $23.5 million
With eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms and 10,500 square feet of living space on an entire acre in Makena, this magnificent estate is one of the most beautifully custom detailed homes to ever be built on the island. Featuring fountains, a ponds, custom wood detailing and sweeping ocean views from nearly every vantage point on the property, this home is truly the pinnacle of luxury island living.
With more than 4,000 square feet of lanai space, this home is perfect for entertaining. Perhaps one of Maui's most stunning outdoor theaters rises from the pool deck, where you can enjoy an entirely private cinema under the stars.
325 Waiahiwi Road | $17.5 million
To this day, Piiholo Ranch is home to one of the busiest operating cattle ranches on Maui, with about 550 acres of fenced pastures throughout. Nestled on the slopes of Haleakala minutes of the historic Makawao town, the entire ranch spans over 800 acres of sprawling pastures, woodlands and rainforests. Trails throughout the property lead through rolling fields and eucalyptus forests with views that sweep from Maui's north shore to the summit of Haleakala.
Remote cabins are scattered across the estate, perfect for day treks or comfortable camping on horseback. Plus, the ranch is home to one of Maui's most popular ziplines, which soars above valleys and lush forest canopies.
