For most, the beginning of October means cooler temperatures, scarves, and beanies being dusted off from our closets, switching from iced coffee to hot and autumn-colored leaves decorating the roads. However, here on the valley isle, we have a different way of celebrating the start of the fall season. Though our sunny beach days may be a tad cooler, there's not much of a difference to notice when living on an island. That is until you head upcountry to Kula Country Farm's annual pumpkin patch. 

Since 2011, this fourth-generation, family-run farm has invited people to Maui's favorite patch. Located by the field next to Kula's modest roadside kiosk, this infamous attraction is perfect for tourists, local families, and everyone in between.

Kamehamenui Forest’s 3,433 acres of mountain watershed lands were sold to the state of Hawai’i, helping it remain protected in perpetuity for the people of Hawaiʻi. This will protect and serve the Kula water aquifer, habitat for endangered species, and community-based forest restoration opportunities. These lands are now protected in perpetuity thanks to federal, state, and non-profit partners.
