We wouldn't want anyone heading out to surf the Maui waves without a healthy dose of morning caffeine. So with that in mind, we rounded up our favorite coffee shops all over the island that know a thing or two about brewing and wooing. 

Whether it's a macchiato produced from Molokai beans or a mocha prepared Maui macadamia nuts, there's a coffee shop for all tucked into every corner of the island. 

 

Maui Coffee Roasters

Maui Coffee Roasters, located in the heart of Kahului, is one of our favorite coffee shops on the island. They offer everything from ground coffee to cappuccinos, Thai iced coffees, nitro cold brews, tea, smoothies, sandwiches, freshly baked goods, quiches, and wraps. Just 5 minutes from Kahului Airport, make Maui Coffee Roasters your first stop!

Lava Java Coffee Roasters

Whether it's a hot Maui day or a cloudy afternoon, Lava Java serves up the very best on Maui's south shore. Unrivaled in flavor, filled with natural oil content, and topped with a smooth, non-acidic finish, it's unlike anything you've ever tried. Be sure to try their Maui cinnamon rolls, POG frosty, or dirty chai latte!

Wailuku Coffee Company

Wailuku Coffee Company is a family-owned and operated business that provides the world's finest quality and most delicious coffees. Dubbed "where the hip come to drink," it is the perfect place to kick back, relax, and enjoy the coffee shop atmosphere with a cup of Joe. In addition, each location hosts monthly art exhibits and contributes 15% of all art purchases to local non-profit organizations.

Kraken Coffee

Kraken Coffee truck is parked in both Kahului and Kihei, with a new location opening in Lahaina! They are your go-to for delivering excellent iced coffee with creative twists, nitro cold brew, and friendly service. They also have delicious lattes, Mochas, Cappuccinos, and Frappes on their menu. Even non-coffee drinkers are welcome to try their smoothies, Chai tea, Kombucha, and Sun teas.

Stillwells Bakery 

Awarded "Best Bakery" on Maui by Maui News and home of the famous Cream Horn, Stillwells Bakery is the perfect place to get your morning caffeine fix AND a sweet treat to start your day!

Island Vintage Coffee 

Tucked away in the heart of Whaler's Village is Island Vintage Coffee, the perfect place to spend a Lahaina afternoon. Cool off with delicious iced coffees, yummy acai bowls, or freshly made breakfast items. What's a Maui experience without tasting their Haleiwa iced tea, Maui lavender latte, or Mauna Kea iced coffee?

Crema at Marlow 

Crema Maui, a boutique espresso bar, serves up some of the most delicious coffee and pastries on the slopes of Haleakala. Located in Pukalani, owner Andrea Riggins and partner Asher Boyle only launched the spot in September, and it's already generated quite a delicious buzz! Filled with flavor and the cool breeze of Upcountry Maui, this is one of our favorite upcountry coffee stops.

Better Things Cafe

Better Things is a new boutique cafe on Maui's north shore in upper Paia. Better Things serves up quality coffee, healthy food, and a relaxing atmosphere with the best down-to-earth vibes. Their delicious vegan and gluten-friendly options make it the best place for all to gather and enjoy the better things in life.

Island Press Coffee 

Island Press Coffee is the cafe that pours aloha into every cup they brew. With heat waves closing out the summer, treat yourself and cool off with a delicious Island Press macadamia nut latte or a specialty frappe made with toddy cold brew and ice cream.

Lappert's Hawai'i 

A tried and true Maui favorite since 1983, Lappert's, is as delicious and energizing as it is memorable. Their mouth-watering bakery goodies are becoming as popular as their signature coffees and super-premium ice cream!
