What led you to where you are today?

KP: I think my journey to becoming a realtor started at a young age. My mom has been in the real estate industry for most of my life. I have fond memories of helping my mom as I grew up, whether that was riding along in the car to one of her showings or watching a photoshoot for her most recent listing. Throughout my time in college, I was looking at going into the digital marketing industry after graduation, however, I ended up getting hired as a marketing director for a top producing real estate team in La Jolla, San Diego. I think working alongside this team sparked my interest in getting my license and pursuing a career that would allow me to connect and help others in many ways. Through all of my experiences that have led me to where I am today, I believe I have found a career that will continue to fulfill my passion for helping and connecting with others everyday.

What's your favorite part about living on Maui?

KP: Being born and raised on Maui, and being part of a 7th generation Maui family I have a deep love and appreciation for the community, culture and history. It’s hard to pick my favorite part about living here because my list might never end! If I had to choose, I think one of my favorite parts of Maui would be the sense of community everywhere you go. Being able to experience the comradery throughout the island with all who live here is something that makes Maui so incredible to me.

What's one thing you've always wanted to do on Maui but haven't yet?

KP: I have always wanted to hike Waihe’e Ridge Trail! I have yet to do this but I am always wanting to go! I don’t normally hike on the West Maui Mountains but from what I’ve heard about this hike, the views are spectacular. My favorite part about hiking on Maui is the vast options of trails and change in perspectives you can experience. I find that hiking on Maui, no matter where you may be, there is always an opportunity to connect back to the land and the history of the island.

What inspired you to work in Maui real estate?

KP: I believe I have a passion for connecting people to the community of Maui and sharing my local knowledge of the island with everyone I meet. I have a genuine care for all and believe that this quality led me to where I am today. That being said, I chose Island Sotheby’s International Realty as they share similar values in their company culture, community involvement and ethics, that I find very important not only in my personal life but also in how I run my business. I am excited to be working with so many great individuals that make up Island Sotheby’s.

Where is one place on the island we can find you on the weekend?

KP: In my spare time, you could probably find me either enjoying the ocean or upcountry in Kula, with my horses. The vast change in scenery and lifestyles you can experience while living here is something I have always loved. I grew up horseback riding on my family’s cattle ranch, however, branched from traditional western riding into english riding at a young age. I competed in hunter/jumpers until I went to college and continued to ride as often as I could. While on Maui, being able to enjoy the beach in the morning followed by a drive up into the green luscious mountains all in the same day is pure magic. Something I always longed for while away from the islands and something I never take for granted while living here.

What should clients know about you?

KP: Trust me to be honest, reliable, genuine, and dependable with everything and anything you need during your time working with me. I am here to help you during your home buying or selling process, but I am also here for you after it is all said and done. I will continue to be your guide and resource to all things Maui, real estate related or not.
