Island Sotheby’s International Realty wants to extend a huge aloha to Scott Wrzesinski for successfully obtaining his Broker license. We always love when our agents push themselves in their professional endeavors and something like this is always cause to celebrate.

Starting with a career in the hospitality industry, Wrzesinski’s passion and motivational spirit pushed him to continue his education and better himself for his future clients. We talked to Wrzesinski about his journey and asked him to share some reflective moments for other agents and professionals in the real estate industry.

“After being in the hospitality industry (hotel/vacation rentals) for decades, I suddenly had this unrelenting urge to get my real estate license. When I could no longer mentally ignore it, I moved it up to the top of my ‘must-do’ list. Shortly thereafter, I obtained my Salespersons license.

"It did not take long after being a practicing Realtor and enjoying every moment of it, that I knew I would eventually pursue a Broker’s license. As a few years swiftly slipped by, my passion for the real estate industry grew even stronger as the gratitude of helping people realize their dream of home-ownership filled my heart.”

Find out more about Wrzesinski’s journey below.

What do you love about the real estate industry?

SW: With each transaction, there is always something new to be learned.  I find it intriguing when an unusual circumstance presents itself and collaboration of the minds work together to find a positive resolution. While I can appreciate the ordinary, I equally welcome the opposite, which for me, strengthens the desire to keep exploring the many facets of the industry.

When did you decide to further your career/education?

SW: Investing in my career through continuous education has always been a priority and after receiving a few real estate designations along with my ongoing Realtor experience over the past few years, I felt confident that I was ready for the next natural progression of my profession, my Broker’s license. With the encouragement and support of my spouse Jim, also a Realtor, and the reassurance from my Brokers at Island Sotheby's International Realty, I took to the challenge, successfully completing the pre-licensing course, and passing the National and State exams.

What was your biggest takeaway from this experience?

SW: For me personally, preparing for and receiving my Broker’s license gave me the opportunity of developing my knowledge thus far. With this latest accomplishment I look forward to the possibilities of discovering even more moving forward.

"I genuinely believe that knowledge is power, and it teaches us to be motivated, determined, engaged and enables us to find solutions. While many things in life can be uncertain, one thing for sure is that I plan to keep learning both personally and professionally, for many years to come.”
