What led you to where you are today (in your realtor journey - past education, jobs, moments of inspiration, etc)?

AS: Most recently, I’ve spent the past 6 years working as the Marketing Manager for two of Hawaii’s top luxury resorts. I’ve always viewed learning as a lifelong pursuit and wanted to challenge myself with a new life skill, while still being able to utilize the many that I’ve acquired along the way. Becoming a real estate agent felt like the perfect combination of marketing and customer service that I was accustomed to while providing me with a new challenge and potential to enrich my future with a new career opportunity.

What's your favorite part about living on Maui and why?

AS: My favorite part of living in Hawaii is enjoying the diversity of natural environments with my family. My 5 -year old daughter is naturally inquisitive and her curiosity is constantly sparked by things she sees around the island. When we’re spending time at the beach and she is amazed by the sea life she encounters, we can go to the Maui Ocean Center to further explore those questions she has. She has even taken a liking to astronomy because on cloudless days she can see the observatory at the top of Haleakalā, which led to many questions about telescopes, stars, and space. Even driving to Hana she is immersed in lush rainforest that’s completely different from where we live in Kihei. Having all of these unique environments accessible to us has developed her love for learning.

What's one thing you've always wanted to do on Maui but haven't yet?

AS: I’ve always wanted to see Maui by air, specifically paragliding. I’ve always loved flying and looking out the window of an airplane. To be able to take flight like a bird might and take in the views unobstructed is something that has always intrigued me.

What inspired you to work in Maui real estate and why ISIR?

AS: I was interested in Island Sotheby’s International Realty because of the brand and company’s storied reputation. But, I knew I wanted to be a part of ISIR after meeting Ryan, Georgie, and others from the brokerage and seeing the way they treated me with care and respect, I knew that it would be a great environment for me to start my real estate journey.

Where is one place on the island we can find you on the weekend or in your spare time and why?

AS: You’ll likely find me and my family on a beach near Wailea. Ulua is our go-to beach in that area. The waves are often small enough for my daughter to play in the water and the snorkeling there is fantastic. If it’s the right time of year we love seeing the whales breach!

What should clients know about you/what sets you apart from the crowd?

AS: As a longtime marketer in Hawaii I understand what appeals to people’s desires when looking for property in Hawaii. To add to that I have the technical skills in photography, videography, and digital marketing to create a comprehensive plan of action to make your property stand out. Years of hospitality and customer service experience have prepared me to care for clients of all backgrounds and varying needs.
