Nickelback bassist Mike Kroeger is offering his breathtaking 5,000-square-foot estate in Haiku for $4.888 million.

Island Sotheby’s International Realty agents Rob Shelton, R(B) and Cynthia Warner, R(B) are the listing agents for the founding member of the rock band, who chose the home because of its premier oceanfront location nestled in a quiet, private neighborhood.

The rockstar founded Nickelback in 1995 with his brother, the group’s lead singer. Since then, they’ve produced nine albums, which include hits like “Rockstar” and “How You Remind Me.”

There are sweeping ocean views visible from the open living spaces and breezy lanais of the exquisitely-designed home, while screened in porches add another 866-square-feet to this spacious estate.

“It quite simply is one of the finest homes in the area and a must see for the discriminating buyer,” said Shelton, one of the agents listing the home. “There is great use of space in the home, and it’s set up for ease of entertaining.”

In addition to the four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, the home also boasts a chef’s kitchen, spacious walk-in closets and office. There’s also a guest bedroom with seperate entrance above the two-car garage, and a wet bar in the great room.

“The quality of build stands out the most to me and it’s ocean view location on the North Shore is very special,” explained Shelton. “The design concept maintained clean, modern lines utilizing quality materials that speak to the coastal location and Maui’s locale.”

Pocketing doors open to the patio, offering the best of indoor-outdoor living. An infinity pool, spa and fire pit are tucked between the home and the ocean.

“The owners chose this location for its prime oceanfront location with over two acres, crisp air and proximity to some of Maui’s finest schools,” said Shelton. “The home is very comfortable, and there is room for the whole family.”
