During the first quarter of 2017, Island Sotheby’s agents helped close numerous property sales, ranging from selling rockstar’s estates to finding buyers for luxury ocean-view condominiums. Here are a few of our noteworthy sales of 2017’s first quarter:

5520 Makena Road, Makena, Hawaii 96753

This 5,400-square-foot beachfront Makena estate sold for $15.5 million, marking the first significant sale of 2017. The four-bedroom, seven-bath home in the resort area of South Maui, is surrounded by tropical gardens and panoramic views of Maui’s south coast.

The estate’s sliding glass doors soar more than 10 feet high, which open to a lush interior courtyard and meticulously landscape lawn. The master suite boasts a massive bath and private courtyard with an exotic outdoor shower, as well as views of Maui’s crystal, clear blue waters. Located in one of Makena’s most prestigious communities, this luxurious estate sold for $9.5 million earlier this year. This 4,370-square-foot architectural masterpiece was designed by Maui’s Hugh Farrington, and offers sweeping views of Maui’s south shore. The four-bedroom home was meticulously furnished, and the kitchen was recently renovated. Every room in the house, which boast 4.5 bathrooms, is exquisitely detailed.

Located in a gated community with just 10 parcels, residents can enjoy peace and privacy, but at the same time access amenities including a tennis court and full-time resident manager.

51 Kapohue Road, Hana, Hawaii 96713

Rock star Pat Benatar and her guitarist husband Neil “Spyder“ Giraldo’s Hana estate closed for $3.1 million. The oceanfront home was sold almost instantly — about 100 days after it was first listed on the market.

The secluded Hana estate is situated atop of private cove in one of Maui’s last undeveloped paradises. The rockstar and her husband lived on the property for years, where they raised their two daughters. The home was offered fully furnished, with 3,295 sq. ft. of interior living space and 2,278 sq. ft. of expansive lanais.

15 Kiloa Street, Makena, Hawaii 96753

Enjoy looking out to colorful sunsets or visiting Humpback whales in the winter on the lanai in this luxury condominium, which recently sold for $2.8 million. Located in one of Maui's finest resort communities, the 2,600-square-foot unit is a short stroll away from some of Maui’s most famous white-sand beaches.
