The Ultimate Hawaiian Playlist Inspired By the 2021 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Finalists

The Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards are Hawaii's most prestigious music awards, regarded as Hawaii's version of the Grammy Awards. Among the many talented finalists of 2021, Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards were two of Maui's most beloved groups and singers.
First is Maoli, a Maui group credited with over 21 #1 Regional Island Reggae hits! Maoli is recognized as one of Hawaii's top recording artists after a fifteen-year career that has garnered national and international recognition. Glenn Awong, the group's leading vocalist, composer, and founder, has been recognized near and far for his talent. Maoli received "Album Of The Year" and a Na Hoku Hanohano Award for "Reggae Album Of The Year" at the iHeartRadio Island Music Awards in 2020 for "Sense Of Purpose."
Ekolu, another group comprised of born and raised Maui boys, has been a part of the Island Reggae music scene for almost 20 years. Since the beginning of their reign, they've developed their style of music that has become synonymous with "Ekolu Music." Their debut album, Down In The Valley, was published in 1999, and since then, Ekolu has released nine full-length Ekolu albums and a few singles throughout their 20-year career.
Lukela Keala, lead singer and co-founder of Ekolu, was a finalist in categories as a stand-alone singer. He was recognized for his self-named album and single, Uilani.
