A classic Kula estate inspired by renowned architect C.W. Dickey has sold for $3.35 million, adding to the millions of dollars in sales that Island Sotheby’s International Realty agent Wendy Peterson, R(S) has facilitated this year.

Located in one of the most desirable elevations in Kula, this 7,160-square-foot home was meticulously constructed by one of Maui's best builders and craftsman. Peterson, who specializes in the lush Upcountry region, facilitated the sale on behalf of the seller, which boosted her total sales so far this year to roughly $23 million.

“This Kula home was built to perfection,” said Peterson. “It’s the perfect blend of classic, Southern architecture and island style.”

The two-acre estate is the epitome of luxurious Upcountry living. Every attention to detail was considered in the construction of the home, which was completed in 2000 after three years of design. The main floor of this architectural masterpiece boasts sweeping ocean views, where you will find a master bedroom with his and hers bathrooms and closets; a mahogany-paneled library; wet bar; and living area.

In the spacious living and entertainment areas, you will also find an arcade room, billiards and large screen movie theater. Each room can access the lanai for swimming in the infinity-edge pool or jacuzzi — or further into the yard, residents can play a game on the private tennis court.

There’s also a stunning 1,000-square-foot cottage, which boasts a massive lanai with sweeping bi-coastal views. Lush trees are scattered across the property, including blooming magnolias and jacarandas.

“This property is extraordinary — there’s simply nothing like this,” said Peterson.
