Born and raised in the Hawaiian Islands, Georgianna “Georgie” Tamayose, has a deep and genuine connection to the culture, history, people of Hawaii and especially the beautiful communities laced throughout the island she lives on, Maui. Before returning to her local roots, Georgie graduated from Gonzaga University and worked for well established companies on the West Coast such as Chromalloy Gas Turbine Corporation, GE Financial and Microsoft.
In 2010, she started her journey at Island Sotheby’s International Realty as an administrator in the South Maui office. Her contributions to the brokerage’s development earned her the leadership position of President. Believing in the power of the Sotheby’s brand, she is now more committed as a Managing Partner, who continues to lead the team towards success and growth. As a business owner, colleagues and industry professionals recognize and appreciate her integrity, collaborative and generous spirit. “I’m living my dream,” explained Georgie. “Injecting positive energy is important, and this can only happen if you’re truly happy and engaged and I am.”
As a realtor, she brings years of service and experience in her field and offers a unique and intelligent perspective to her clients. Her excitement for the real estate industry is evident through her ability to not only be empathetic but also a trustworthy advisor for every client. Listening is another skill she’s mastered, this supports her ability to be a natural problem-solver, and clear communicator. She is a person who helps people take big steps through the most challenging times and sees it through to the end. She delivers value, not only in your home selling or buying journey but also as a friend. “I love this island and I love this brand and I would like to use my passion for both to help people.” Working with Georgie, you will truly experience Island Sotheby’s Realty’s core values of PONO, to do what is right; KULEANA, to take responsibility; and ALOHA, to do it with love.
When she’s not conquering the world around her, Georgie ventures around her beautiful island home with her husband of over 15 years and their 90-lb German Shepherd / Akita / Catahoula fur baby named Kuma, which means “bear” in Japanese. She shares in the aloha spirit of having gratitude for every day and living in the present. Tamayose treats everyone like she’s known them for years, offering a warm smile and heartful laugh that makes you feel like you’ve been friends for your whole life. Her ability to connect with others and become a part of their life makes her a physical embodiment of the Hawaiian value, “aloha”.
