Growing up on the sandy shores of South Maui, Jordan Smith is no stranger to the tropical landscape, beautiful neighborhoods, and ocean waves.

Besides being a local boy at heart, Smith has extensive knowledge and experience in Maui development, from beginning to end, new and innovative marketing strategies, and a deep understanding of his trade. In 2019, Jordan lead the sales to successfully closing out 170 unit development of Kamalani, one of Kihei’s newest communities.

To learn more about Smith and his dedication to the island of Maui and how he uses his sincere character and enthusiasm to help his clients, we asked Smith a few questions to help us get to know him a little better and welcome him into our ohana.

What's your favorite part about living on Maui?

My favorite part of living in Maui is all the beaches. You can be having a bad day and a quick dip In the ocean can always help me reset.

What's one thing you've always wanted to do on Maui but haven't yet?

That’s a tough one because I’ve done a lot. This isn’t really on Maui, but I’ve always wanted to go to Kahoolawe. I remember watching the bombing from my uncle’s house in Maui Meadows, from a telescope as a kid. I always was intrigued. I have a few friends that have been invited to the island for clean up or educational purposes. I’ve been around the island on a boat fishing, just yet to step foot on the island.

What inspired you to work in Maui real estate and why ISIR?

I was drawn to Maui’s real estate. I also have knowledge of architecture and design. [Maui real estate] is appealing to me because it is always changing, I learn something on every deal.

Where is one place on the island we can find you on the weekend?

On the weekends I spent most of the time with my family or cooking in my kitchen. I like to cook a lot of things but my family loves when we do shabushabu. Or Yakuniku. We love to gather around the table and cook side by side.

What should clients know about you?

My clients should know that I am knowledgeable in the market and I always advocate for what’s in the best interest of the client. I always wish my clients feel fully informed and educated throughout the buying and selling process. I pride myself on being proactive to make the transaction as smooth as possible.
