Last month, more than 300 paddlers took to the seas to raise money for breast cancer research and community resources as part of the Paddle for Life, an event supported for years by Island Sotheby’s International Realty’s longtime Lana’i agent, Greg Sturm R(S).
“It was Breast Cancer Awareness Month so a bunch of crews paddle from Maui to Lana’i and everyone sponsors paddlers with donations,” Sturm explained.
Sturm helped sponsor a team of paddlers from Lana’i, whose team ended up raising more than $6,000. That team joined more than 300 other paddlers, who altogether raised a whopping $224,654 to support breast cancer research and services for Maui families who are touched by cancer.

For those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle, Lana’i is the perfect place to get away. Only 30 miles of Lanai’s roads are paved, but residents also have access to the luxurious Four Seasons Resort and two world-class golf courses — the Manele Golf Course and the Koele Golf Course.
From adventurous off-road trips to visiting historical sites, there are all sorts of unique activities to do while visiting or living…

The 140-square-mile island has just more than 3,000 residents — and no stoplights. The island is predominantly owned by Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle, and home to the luxurious Four Seasons Resort and two world-class golf courses — the Manele Golf Course and the Koele Golf Course. While some are under the false impression that the island is privately owned, it's entirely possible to purchase a piece of property on Hawaii's hidden gem.
Dozens of picturesque plantation homes are scattered across the island's tropical landscape, reminiscent of the time when pineapple farms covered the entire island. Just recently, Island Sotheby’s International…
