Massie can meet all of your real estate needs, whether you're searching for a commercial property or buying your first home. We sat down with him to talk about why he chose to join the Island Sotheby's International Realty team:

What's your favorite part about living on Maui?

BM:  After college, I traveled a lot — to the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico - then visited Maui for a friend’s wedding. I realized that Maui incorporated the parts of all of those places that I loved, and I vowed to move there. Four years later, I made the jump, and I’ve been here almost three and a half years.

I love everything there is to do out here — hiking, the beach all the beautiful scenery. I just love being outdoors.

Why did you join the Island Sotheby's International Realty team?

BM: For the past three years on Maui, I was working as the Principal Broker at a firm I created. While working on island, I got to know Wendy Peterson, who always spoke positively about Island Sotheby’s International Realty.

When I looked into Island Sotheby's International Realty, I was very attracted to their marketing and the look and feel of its quality. And once I got to know more about the comradery and relationships at the office, I knew this was what I was ideally trying to do. Another alluring factor was the international recognition of the Sotheby’s brand.

What is your favorite part about being a real estate professional?

The industry changes every five seconds; the constant change is what I love about it. I hate when things are monotonous, and I love being able to learn something new every day. In my job, there’s a new challenge to overcome every day.

What should clients know about you?

I’m very passionate about my work and serving my clients. I’m also personally involved in the industry - I own a home on Maui, within five minutes of our Upcountry office, as well as in Virginia, where I grew up.
